Debra Beverly, a USF Health clinic receptionist was recently recognized as a culture champion for her actions and generosity pertaining to a patient before his appointment.
When the patient checked into his appointment, he hadn’t eaten lunch and asked Beverly where he could find a vending machine. Instead of giving him directions, she opened her desk drawer and offered him a choice of snacks she keeps on hand. Both the patient and USF Health leadership felt her actions went above and beyond her duties. Beverly was presented a USF Health Culture Coin in the lobby of the USF Health South Tampa Center Dec. 1.
