USF Pharmacy students competed in a state-wide membership drive for the Florida Pharmacy Association (FPA), and earned $1,000 when more than half of the student body joined up.
The FPA created a contest as part of their membership drive, offering Florida’s pharmacy students a competitive way to help build membership.
Students from the USF College of Pharmacy pulled out a win by having the highest percentage of students as active FPA members by the Oct. 31 deadline. The USF group was the only school to have more than 50 percent of students to become FPA members.
Offering congratulations and a check for the prize money were FPA President Terry Gubbins and FPA Vice Speaker Bob Parrado.
