The USF College of Pharmacy was host to delegates from Burapha University in Thailand to strengthen the relationship between the two institutions.
The June 5 visit included two delegates, Sindhchai Keokitichai, PhD, professor and dean of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Kampanart Huanbutta, PhD, assistant dean for Academic Research and Pharmaceutical Education, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
They were invited by USF’s Shufeng Zhou, MD, PhD, professor and chair of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Associate Dean for International Research for the USF College of Pharmacy, in the hopes of creating a new faculty/student exchange program that will enrich the research capacity of both colleges. In addition to inviting USF College of Pharmacy Dean Kevin Sneed, PharmD, and Dr. Zhou to visit his campus later this year, Dr. Keokitichai also invited USF’s pharmacy school to send four to 10 senior pharmacy students to Burapha University to study for four to six weeks since next year. These collaborations support the mission of the College of Pharmacy as well as USF by promoting international partnerships, Dr. Sneed said.
