The building, completed in 2008, was designed by Alfonso Architects, which has offices in Tampa and Italy, and was built by Ajax Building Corp., with offices in Oldsmar, FL, Georgia, and North Carolina. The Center is set in the core of USF Health, which features the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and the Schools of Biomedicine and Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Sciences. As part of an academic medical center, the Center offers the most advanced patient care and a robust environment for learning.

The Carol & Frank Morsani Center for Advanced Healthcare features six floors offering outpatient care, an ambulatory surgery center with eight operating rooms and five endoscopy suites, and a diagnostic imaging center with MRI, CT, women’s diagnostics with mammography, ultrasound and bone densitometry, fluoroscopy, basic X-ray, and nuclear medicine.

OnlineMastersinPublicHealth.com is an independent web publication that evaluates publicly available data and then creates rankings designed to help students compare information from the field of public health. The architecture ranking is based on a range of factors, such as aesthetics, originality, patient comfort and engineering sophistication.

The Carol & Frank Morsani Center for Advanced Healthcare was the only facility from the Tampa Bay area and one of only three in Florida to make the list.
