Two USF Health faculty members were named fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
Dr. Daniel V. Lim, Distinguished University Professor of Global Health and Cell Biology, Microbiology and Molecular Biology, Colleges of Public Health and Arts and Sciences, and Dr. Cindy L. Munro, professor and associate dean for Research and Innovation, College of Nursing, were each named a fellow and will be formally recognized at the AAAS annual meeting in February in Chicago.
Drs. Lim and Munro are among six faculty from USF named fellows this year, a total that puts USF in the top 10 worldwide, and first in the state, for organizations with the most AAAS Fellows named this year. USF was also in the top 10 worldwide last year. Other top 10 universities include Vanderbilt University, Duke University, University of California, Davis, University of Michigan and Pennsylvania State University.
